Tasting notes

Red berry, fig, dark honey, and a long oak-tannin finish.

The same malted-barley mash bill as our 12 Year, carried six years further in first-fill bourbon barrels and then finished in a Port Pipe Finish before bottling — long enough that we lose roughly a third of the barrel’s original volume to evaporation over eighteen years, which is the honest reason this release is small rather than a marketing choice.

Bottled at 51.4% ABV, non-chill-filtered. We release this once a year, allocated by request rather than sold on a first-come basis, because the barrel count behind it is fixed years in advance and we’d rather under-promise than run out mid-year.
